100 YEARS FROM NOW
Where will I be? Where will you be? These questions get our attention. It is easy to develop a lifestyle that is based on living forever. We know better but we have a hard time coming to terms with reality. You are going to die. I am going to die. 100 years from now what difference will it make whether we . . .
Lived in a mansion or a rented room?
Wore tailor-made clothes or budget floor bargains?
Vacationed in Florida or our own backyard?
Ate steak, or a pot of beans?
Slept in a mahogany bed or on a cot?
Had a million dollars or nothing at all?
But it will make a big eternal difference whether we were saved or lost. Jesus said, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul” (Mark 8:36, 37)? Our souls are priceless. Have we forgotten? 100 years from now we will be in comfort or torment. Think about it!
